Key Creatives

Enzo Tedeschi

WRITERS & PRODUCERS

In 2008, Enzo Tedeschi produced and edited the controversial independent feature documentary Food Matters, currently still enjoying success around the world. Most recently he produced and edited the epic World War 1 period film Ghosts of War and also post-produced and edited The Last One with director, Carlo Ledesma.

Enzo has edited numerous television series, documentaries and award- winning short films, including Love Always xx which featured at the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2007. He worked in the editing department on Shane Abbess’ Gabriel, as well as co-producing and editing the behind-the-scenes documentary for that film; Behind The Madness. He has edited and overseen the post-production paths on Channel Nine’s Logie nominated Things To Try Before You Die, and the observational documentary series AFP for Zapruder’s Other Films. Enzo was nominated in for an Australian Editor’s Guild Award in 2008 for Best Editing in Television Non-Drama for Gardening For Kids With Madi.

Julian Harvey

WRITERS & PRODUCERS

Besides making The Tunnel, Julian Harvey recently completed work as a writer and senior producer on the documentary series AFP with Zapruder’s other films. He has also journeyed to the Antarctic to produce and direct the documentary, The Distant Peak; was in the thick of the action with Channel Nine’s Fire 000; and climbed Kilimanjaro with a TV crew for Australian Story.

Julian Harvey’s editing career has seen him cut a wide range of television series, documentaries, music videos and ads, including overseeing the post-production path on big- budget specials for Channel Nine’s Logie-nominated travel series Getaway, as well as a series of international cinema commercials for Tourism Australia.

Carlo Ledesma

Director

Directing “The Tunnel” is Filipino-Australian director, Carlo Ledesma, a Bacolod native who migrated to Sydney, Australia in 2004 and has since won numerous awards for his short films including the 2007 comedy, The Haircut which took out a special prize at the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival. “The Tunnel” is Carlo Ledesma’s feature film debut and has already garnered him the “Best Australian Director” Award at Sydney’s A Night Of Horror International Film Festival in 2011.

He could not be more excited to continue working two long-time close collaborators – Distracted Media’s Enzo Tedeschi and Julian Harvey.

From 1997 to 2004 Carlo Ledesma worked as a senior producer and presenter on the acclaimed Philippine sports and travel show Gameplan. The show won several awards and gained a strong cult following.

Moving to Sydney in 2004 to pursue a Masters degree in Film, Carlo Ledesma wasted no time establishing his presence. His first short film in Australia, Locked, was named Best Film at the annual University of Sydney Film Awards and Carlo Ledesma hasn’t looked back since. In 2007 Carlo’s film The Haircut was awarded the Mini Movie Channel Award for Best Short Film at the Cannes Short Film Corner. The prize money from that enabled Carlo Ledesma to get started on his next project, The Last One.

Carlo Ledesma shot and directed a feature-length documentary for Nike called My Game which explored the Philippines’ devout passion for basketball. My Game premiered in October 2007 in Manila to glowing reviews and the DVD which was released in a limited run, is now a much sought-after collector’s item.

Carlo Ledesma now has several projects lined up. He has two feature scripts in development. And recognizing the ever-evolving ways to reach out to modern audiences, Carlo Ledesma is working on an interactive film and graphic novel tie-up.

Paul Dawkins

Composer

Paul Dawkins has worked in both band-based and film/television music for nearly two decades. A composer, engineer, producer and performer, he has worked on projects as varied as song-writing and production for Glenn Shorrock, Jon English, and Jake Nickolai; the soundtrack album to Peter Jackson’s “Heavenly Creatures”; writing and performing with Matt Finish in the 90s; composing score music for “The Life ‘O Simon” and numerous television and radio commercials. He also is constantly writing and recording with his band Split Dogs.

His style is self-described filmic electronic rock music. His most recent project is writing and performing the score to the innovative new horror/thriller “The Tunnel”.

The Blackwater Fever

“DARK RIVER OF VITRIOLIC ROCK’N’ROLL” – Time Off

A harrowing growl, a tortured electric guitar and the rhythmic stomp of an unrelenting drum kit. If you close your eyes you can almost smell the swamp and feel the moonlight on your face. It’s hard to believe such an atmospheric, blues-heavy sound comes from just two guys. Breaking your heart one minute only to pick you up with an irresistible rocker the next, this Australian duo are a live experience not to be missed.

They’ve recently released their second full length album, In Stereo which was recorded at Brisbane’s newly established Borough Studios and co-produced with artist Skritch (Mary Trembles, Beast Of Bourbon, Tex Perkins’ Dark Horses)

Motion Fused

Based in Sydney, Australia, MOTION FUSED is the movie soundtrack composition side-project of electronic-industrial band Empty. Beginning in 2005 and running parallel with structured, vocal-driven industrial themes, Motion Fused branches out into the world of emotionally driven instrumental music for film, television, advertising, art and video games.

EXISTENCE is the debut sampler album, a digital collection of soundtrack atmospheres and soundscapes by A.Potter and D.Brunet.

Split Dogs

SPLIT DOGS are from Sydney, Australia, and play film score-influenced rock and electronic music.

Comprised of multi- instrumentalists Paul Dawkins and Clare Ivers, their debut album “Iconoclasm” was released last year. Containing songs blending film music, rock and electronics, it was the culmination of years of writing performing and recording. Their sound can best be described as melodic rock songs forced into an electronic blender and forced to watch movies.
The band is currently working on a second album, due for release late 2011.
